Catherine Fulvio is chef proprietor of award-winning Ballyknocken House & Cookery School in County Wicklow where she tends her organic farm, gardens and herbs and proudly showcases the best of local in-season to guests in both the Cookery School and the four star country house accommodation. Her style of cooking is modern Irish, with an emphasis on informal entertaining using fresh and seasonal produce. She is currently working on her second book and researching her third TV series. She is best known for her two RTE TV series for RTE, Catherine’s Italian Kitchen and Catherine’s Roman Holiday.
Having made an impression on many Irish homes for providing quick and easy food suitable for family life and entertaining friends Catherine is a firm favourite at Taste Festivals.
At Taste of Dublin 2010 she hosted Catherine’s Italian Kitchen cooking up a selection of delectable Italian dishes. She was a guest chef in the Live Theatre Show at Taste of Christmas 2010 as well as hosting Catherine’s Christmas Kitchen where she demonstrated a range of delicious dishes.
At Taste of Dublin 2011 she hosted the Ballyknocken Cookery School where visitors learned Italian kitchen techniques during fun practical classes where there was one-on-one advice available from the Ballyknocken experts. Catherine is currently planning what she will do at Taste of Christmas 2011 so keep an eye out for more information. You can be sure it will tantalise your taste buds no matter what she does!
